PLAYMODES
Capture the flag
In this mode, players must collect the enemy flag and return it to their own flag area.
If the enemy has possession of your teams flag, you cannot score.
Team Deathmatch
This mode is kill or be killed. Teams gain scores when they destroy the enemy and loose points When the enemy destroys them. Players get two times the kill points per kill in this mode.
Control Point
Players must maintain control of points on the map to gain score. The more control points your team possesses the more points you get every few seconds. To gain control of a point at least one team member must stand near the control point while its arrow moves into your teams color. The more team members are near the point, the faster the arrow will move to your side.
White Rabbit
White rabbit is a modified version of TAG. One player is chosen at random , and becomes the white rabbit. This player becomes very fast, but unable to shoot anything aside from the E.M.P. If he is destroyed, the player that destroyed him gets bonus score and then becomes the white rabbit. In this mode even players of the same team can damage each other. It’s a race to destroy the rabbit for bonus points. If the rabbit survives for four minutes, then that player gets bonus points for survival and a new rabbit is chosen at random. CLASS SELECTION IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THIS MODE.
Race Mode:
Race around the checkpoints. Completed laps add to team score. In this mode players respawn faster and they may use the chicken boosters at any time with a lower reload penalty.
WEAPONS & POWERUPS
Mortar cannon
The default weapon. deals small damage. This weapon can hit a player in mid air, however if its allowed to hit the ground it will explode and hit all enemy players in a small area.
E.M.P pulse cannon
This weapon cannot hit players in mid air, but it will hit all players in a small area when it
explodes on the ground. When hit, the enemy will loose all of their special abilities such as Spring Tracks, Plasma Shields, and SpeedUp Powers. They will be forced to
Recollect those items to use them again.
Sniper cannon
The sniper can only hit one target at a time, normal shots do moderate damage, but if you zoom in with this weapon it does a great deal of extra damage to the target.
You can zoom in with the sniper cannon with the middle mouse button , control key, or joystick button.
Land mines
Land mines detonate when an enemy is nearby causing a good amount of damage and sending the enemy soaring into the air. Mines can also be self detonated with the middle mouse button , control key, or joystick button.
Atomic rockets
These rockets do an insane amount of damage in a very large area. They are slow moving and the rocket launcher has a long reload time.
Nano repair blaster
This sends a laser containing nano bots to the target area where they quickly form
A repairing wrench , any teammate can collect this wrench to be repaired. Repairing a friendly target can give you rep points that can lead to ranking up.
Sonic Grenade Launcher
These energy capsules can bounce off ground and walls before exploding and sending the enemy flying through the air. They cannot hit a player in mid air, but can impact more than one player at a time.
Plasma Shields: These absorb some damage from enemy attacks
Spring Tracks: Allow the player to jump into the air
SpeedUp: Allow the player to move a little faster
Players always start with Spring Tracks and SpeedUp. They can be lost if the player is hit with an EMP. Then they must be recollected
CLASSES
Soldier
This class has no extra benefits, or defects. An average class.
Pyro
The pryo moves 15% slower than the soldier, however his rockets and mortar explosions create a devastating area of napalm that can damage enemy players, as well cause them to catch fire, spreading the effect. Rocket napalm causes more damage than mortar napalm.
Bomber
The bomber can self detonate causing enemies that are within range to take severe damage , usually destroying them. The bomber has a reduced penalty for death and so ranks down far less often when destroyed. He also takes three times damage from enemy attacks.
Marksman
The Marksman has exceptional skill with the sniper cannon, and can pinpoint the weakest spot in any plasma or metal armour. His zoomed sniper shots deal three times normal damage, a one shot one kill in most cases. The Marksman takes longer to reload his sniper cannon than other classes and his other weapons do half damage.
Scout
Scouts are the fastest moving class available, and their radar will show enemy locations even if they are not close to a radar tower. However they deal half damage to the enemy and take double damage from enemy attacks.
Juggernaut
Opposite the scout, the Juggernaut is the slowest moving class you can find, but they are very tough. They take four times less damage from enemy attacks and have an improved mortar cannon that deals two times normal damage, and sends the enemy flying into the air when hit. The Juggernaut moves very very slow, and has double reload times on all weapons.
Rankings and Stats
Rank is gained when other stats accumulate to a certain point. Rank is lost when
A player dies too many times without getting enough points in his other stats.
Other stats that can be raised are
Kills it takes a few kills to get one rank
Deaths removes tally points wich makes it harder rank up, or can even cause rank loss
Caps (flag captures) one flag cap can raise rank several times
Saves (forcing enemy to drop your flag) one flag save can raise rank a few times
Rep (repairing friendly tanks) a few repairs can rank you up as well
Race mode allows you to rank up by completing laps every few minutes
SERVER RANK SETTINGS
If a server does not allow ranking , all stats but rank will continue to go up and up, until the player logs off, at that point all stats but rank will be reset.
This non ranking mode is much like your typical fps multiplayer game where your score is only held per session.
The Leader board
The online Leader board show the top 10 ranked players from every server.

adjusting lag tolerance, allowing or not allowing ranking, changing server port#, and more.
Map editor: the tiny tanks map editor will be released to all for free in the near future. You do not have to buy it. Its first release will be a beta test release fully working but with some kinks to work out.

FAQ
Q: Where is everyone, I never see anyone in the game
A: As of version 1.03 Tiny Tanks has had no real advertisement, we hope to get more players in by getting the word out, and/or getting published. You can help with this if you like by telling your friends about the game.
Q: The game runs a little slow on my computer what can I do?
A: A few things to try that can speed up Tiny Tanks are
· From the main menu Check the SPEED option for render mode and apply.
· Choose a lower video resolution such as 800x600
· From the in game menu click the DOF button and turn off this special effect
· If your graphics card has a windows control panel, open that and check for performance options.
Q: Why won’t the Tiny Tanks updater work for me?
A: Some Virus protection programs do not allow it to operate properly, some have been noted to even delete Tiny Tanks files. You should set permissions for TinyTanks both the client and the updater within your virus and firewall programs so they will allow it to work properly.
Q: Why can’t I ping a server?
A: Sometimes the default or current port settings conflict with other ports used on your computer. Try choosing a new random port number, and apply those settings.
Q: Why can’t people connect to my server and play?
A: In order for others to communicate with the Tiny Tanks Server your router or modem must be set up properly to allow incoming communication from outside your local network. This is called Port Forwarding and is done slightly differently from one modem/router to the next.
Q: When I try to log into a server it says the username is already logged in.
A: It’s possible in rare occasions for the game to stop but not have the chance to log your name out of the database, if this happens your name will automatically be logged out within five minutes. This should only happen if the game is halted unexpectedly and not shut down properly via the quit button.
Q: When I play on a server I always get kicked for lag.
A: each server can set a lag tolerance wich may kick players that do not communicate fast enough with the server. This could be because of internet connection speed or even location of server or distance from your local region. It could also be a server that has a poor internet connection speed. Try other servers and see how that works.
Q: Tiny Tanks tells me it has to update over and over.
A: This can only happen if the update files were not properly set up on the master server. You can redownload the installer and reinstall , or manually download update files if this problem persists. It’s recommended you wait a few minutes and try again to insure this is a persistent problem.
Q: My rank was reset to 1. How did this happen?
A: Rank is saved per server. It’s possible the server admin removed your saved data, or that you logged into your account with the demo client. If a demo client logs into an account it will reset the rank to 1.
Q. I use AVG security suite, the updater won’t work, and some maps won’t download, what can I do?
A. It seems AVG catches the new data as its being written to hard disk in some cases and doesn’t allow it to save properly. Temporarily Disabling Resident Shield and Link Scanner seem to fix this issue and can be done prior to updating or downloading maps if you have issues with this while using AVG.
Remember to re-enable these features after you are finished updating

disable the Resident Shield.
